There’s always something fun happening at Kellogg Dental! We are actively involved in our community, and are committed to the well-being of our community members beyond the high quality dental care we provide. Kellogg Dental is proud to have been voted People’s Choice Howell-Area Best Dental Practice Winner every year since 2010. We are grateful for the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others through our dental treatments and charitable events. We never get tired of giving people reasons to smile!
FREE DENTAL DAY
The Livingston County community has been very supportive of Kellogg Dental. Our core value is to serve the community in which we work. Locally, Kellogg Dental participates in ‘Dentistry from the Heart,’ which provides free dental care to our community. Free Dental Day is a community event where dentists, hygienists, assistants, and volunteers all come together to provide free dental services to those who could otherwise not afford it. Some of the services provided at Free Dental Day include dental cleanings, extractions and fillings. Every year our efforts reach more people in need. Thanks to the generous donations and help from our volunteers, Kellogg Dental has donated over $175,000 in free dental care and treated more than 600 patients over the last seven years!
LIVINGSTON COUNTY VETERANS MEMORIAL
Our team raised over $45,000 to renovate the Livingston County Veterans Memorial. Donations were used to expand and beautify the Veterans Memorial. We appreciate our veterans and are proud to honor their service. We encourage you to stop by and see the Veterans Memorial in front of the Howell Courthouse.
Kellogg Dental strives to support local schools and their programs and give back in any way we can. We have been visiting local schools, interacting with our community, and providing high school education internships for over 30 years! Our team truly enjoys visiting the children of our community schools and preschools to educate kids about oral health. The students always enjoy this time with us while learning about a visit to the dentist.
Every year on the day after Halloween, Kellogg Dental pays $1.00 per pound for unopened Halloween candy. We also collect donations and letters of gratitude. All items, along with Kellogg Dental toothbrushes, are put into care packages and sent to our troops overseas for the holidays by the Operation Gratitude Organization.
We have enjoyed traveling throughout the world to various countries including, but not limited to, Honduras, the Dominican Republic, and Guatemala, to provide dental care to those who need it most. Within the villages we served, most had never seen a dentist. When word got out we were there, over 200 people showed up to our clinic each day. Some of the people we treated had traveled up to 30 miles on foot to receive our care! Dental disease, when left untreated, takes many lives in these unserved areas. It was an honor and privilege to treat these amazing people.
The Kellogg Dental team is proud to work with LACASA, Love Inc., Catholic Social Services, LESA, the Howell DDA, Howell Recreation, and Livingston County Veterans. Kellogg Dental has sponsored Red Cross Blood drives, Adopt-A-Family, can drives, socks for foster kids, and put on our very own Candy Buy Back and Halloween parties for our communities. The Kellogg family sponsors Camp Kellogg, a Boy Scout camp for underprivileged youths in Kalkaska, Michigan, as well. Our giving goal at a team at Kellogg Dental is 1 million in 10 years. So far, we have given $235,000 to our community.
