Brush your teeth at least two times a day; this keeps your teeth, gums, and mouth clean and healthy by removing bacteria-causing plaque. It is also recommended that you use a soft bristle toothbrush and toothpaste that contains fluoride when you brush your teeth. You should spend at least a minute on the top teeth and a minute on the bottom teeth, and remember to brush your tongue – it will help keep your breath smelling fresh!

Clean between your teeth by flossing at least once a day, decay-causing bacteria can linger between teeth where toothbrush bristles can't reach. Rinsing with mouthwash will also help kill bacteria, plaque, and food particles from those hard to reach places. 


Holding your toothbrush at a 45 degree angle, gently brush your teeth in short circular motions. Make sure to brush all areas of your teeth, including the outer, inner, and chewing surfaces. To clean the inside surface of your teeth, tilt your toothbrush vertically and brush the front and back of your teeth using up and down strokes.


Remove around 18 - 24 inches of dental floss from its dispenser and wrap the ends around your index and middle fingers. Holding the floss tightly, position the the floss in a C-shape around each tooth and move the floss back and forth using a push-pull motion.
